Johan loves old video games (he even named two of his children after them), so all his works are made in the style of pixel art. They wittily complement everyday objects like road signs, pipes and fences, giving them a new meaning.
Among the artist's heroes are Mario the plumber, Pennywise the clown, ninja turtles, Pokemon, Homer Simpson and for some reason real-life politicians: Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
