Jason Strick's pictures allow us to see the complex work necessary to create various illusions on the big screen, and even introduce us to the inconspicuous members of the film crew who work tirelessly to create the magical world of cinema. For example, in one of the photos, a specially trained person smoothes the skin of an immense obese vampire, and in another, an elephant trainer collects manure in a bag for her wards. All these shots demonstrate the least attractive side of the film industry, which is famous for its brilliance and luxury.
Jason Strick became interested in documenting the process of making movies after his great-aunt Gail Sondergaard won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. However, his hobby did not end there, and he still feels comfortable on the set of Hollywood films.
