Big world of little people

The master of modern Buryat art Zhamso Radnaev created a world of his images. The fusion of traditions with the skill and imagination of the artist is the uniqueness of this world.

A very kind, warm and even fabulous atmosphere in his works. The artist himself comes from Eravna. The famous Eravninskaya valley is depicted on canvases with all the love of her son. Zhamso Radnaev portrays mainly his children, of whom he has three. The daughters of Darim, Narzhilma, Bayarma are now adults, but for their father they are babies whom he paints on his canvases.

The subjects are very simple and somewhat monotonous in color scheme, without bright colors or large spots.

Even the winter landscape does not sparkle or shine, but is muted and quiet, just as the northern nature of Eravna is muted and quiet, just as the character of the artist himself is modest and quiet.

— 1975-1981 — study at the art and graphic department at the Buryat Republican Pedagogical School No. 1 (Ulan-Ude). — 1982-1988 - study at the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts, workshop of A.A. Klyueva. — 1991-1994 - internship at the creative workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts under the guidance of A.P. Levitin, Krasnoyarsk.

Teaches at the School of Culture and Art (Ulan-Ude).
