These photos have everything: emotions, longing, bravado, vexation, restless desire, sexuality, awkwardness, posturing and happiness. The world of American high schools, streets, parks and beaches.
The result is two books of photographs Almost Grown and Teenage.
"I wanted to show what they are," said the late Joseph Szabo.
