On January 31, 1993, the famous German photographer Fritz Henle died.

According to the German historian of photography Helmut Gernsheim, Henle was "the last great photographer of the past."

1. Fritz Henle (Fritz Henle) became interested in photography in his youth, having converted the basement of the house into a darkroom with the permission of his parents. After graduating, he went on a long journey to different continents, which resulted in his first photo album titled "Japan" in 1936. In the early 40s, the photographer received American citizenship, leaving his native Germany forever.

Henle's career in America was more than successful. He became an extremely popular and in-demand journalist with publications in "Life", "Fortune", "Harper's Bazaar", "Mademoiselle", "Town & Country".
