After the tragic death of loved ones, the guy sold everything to travel the world with a ferret
The loss of loved ones can destroy your whole world. And then it's easy to get depressed. 25-year-old Briton Charles Hammerton (Charles Hammerton) lost his mother, best friend and foster mother in just one year, so he fell into despair.
But Charlie decided that he needed to take drastic measures and completely reconsider life. He resigned from his position in the Royal Air Force, sold all his possessions (including 3 cars) and went on a trip to Europe with a ferret named Bandit.

After Charlie sold almost everything he had, he got about 15 thousand pounds (more than 1 million 200 thousand rubles), which was enough to buy a van and hit the road. Together with the Bandit, Charlie traveled 11 countries in 8 months from the Arctic Circle to southern Italy.

The album of travelers is full of pictures of the Bandit against the background of iconic landmarks.

Charlie took the ferret from the shelter in 2015 and the furry Bandit stayed with him even when Charlie was stationed at Coningsby Air Base.

In March 2017, Charlie's mother Jan died. She suffered from motor neuron disease. She was only 53 years old. A couple of months later, Will Moss's best friend, who was only 22, died. And at the end of the year, Samantha's foster mother died of a heart attack. Charlie sank into depression.

Charlie quit his job, sold his property and bought a motorhome. In February 2018 , he and the Bandit went from Edinburgh to the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, France, Spain and Italy. A month later, they were joined by 21-year-old Chiara, Charlie's girlfriend.

Charlie and the Bandit have already visited 25 cities in 11 countries around the world. The young man documented the adventure on the Facebook page "Adventures with a Bandit". In November 2018, Charlie released a book inspired by his travels.

The newly minted writer talked about how to get the most out of a bad situation.

Now Charlie teaches schoolchildren how to gain self-confidence, increase self-esteem, and also shares with them the skills of living in nature.
