He specializes in portraits, beauty and fashion photography. But he is best known for his many years of collaboration with Playboy magazine. It is easy to see that von Steinbach is very selective in the selection of models. The girls in his photos are always exceptionally beautiful and have impeccable figures. The photographer is often reproached for this, saying that his work is too ideal and out of touch with reality.
