Creating their incredibly detailed work, the girl often falls into a kind of trance, and sometimes final result is surprise even herself.

Every picture Olivia looks like an intriguing collage of images, interwoven with witty details and mysterious symbols. Its texture of her works are reminiscent of early engravings of Albrecht dürer, and at the same time, they are like the etchings of Gustave doré thanks to the mood of the drama, which is hidden in seemingly ordinary subjects.

The figures Olivia Kemp fancy coexists with the mundane: the strange huts built in the trees and forming a close forest towns, isolated from the modern civilization; abandoned cars, fences, piles of scrap metal; eerie thickets and vacant lots; a fantastic floating Islands and strange creatures. Hobby artist all unusual in nature, is contagious, since it clearly enjoys the absurd and surreal in the world.

Olivia draws a fountain pen. To create one large-scale drawing, it usually takes a few months. The artist confesses that the painting of the fabric, immersed in a state of near trance, when the pattern develops intuitive landscape "itself constructs". Olivia very often surprised by the final result. When the painting is complete, the artist carefully studying that she managed to embody on the canvas.

Apparently, dive into the mysterious process of creativity is so important to the author that the outcomes of work are often as surprising to her as to the viewer.
