Grom lives in the Sochi National Park and is brought up by specialists of the Center for Breeding and Rehabilitation of Asian Leopards. He was born in captivity – from a pair of wild Persian leopards. Which was the first such case in history. As a rule, wild animals very rarely give offspring in captivity, so Thunder is a unique representative of its kind.

A unique representative of an endangered species

1. Thunder has a brother who is being raised by his mother. For the leopardess Cherie, this was the first birth, and she began to feed only one baby.

2. After the specialists of the center took the baby for upbringing, so that he grew up healthy, he needed special food that could not be obtained in Russia. Then, WWF Russia employees turned to representatives of the German online megastore LAARY with a request to help the leopard. Employees of the online store on the same day found a supplier specialized channels and sent food from Germany to Russia.
