Hard work and diligence can turn a ruin into a dream home. A couple who bought a dilapidated church at auction for 85,000 pounds (about 8.8 million rubles), transformed it into a stunning home worth 1 million pounds (about 103 million rubles). Most of the repairs were done by the couple themselves. As a result, the abandoned building has changed beyond recognition, preserving the charm of antiquity and finding modern comfort.

The church was built in 1846, and in 1999 it was closed due to the spread of dry rot in the room. Since then, the building has stood untouched until the couple undertook repairs.
