But they were not on the set of Star Wars, but at Mars Base 1, built in the barren, windy hills of Gansu Province.
Local officials hope that the fantastic base, about 40 km from Jinchang city, will become a "magnet" for tourists.
In addition to tourism, the complex cooperates with the Cosmonaut Training Center of the People's Republic of China, eventually it should become a cosmonaut training center.
