9-year-old model without legs took to the catwalk at New York Fashion Week

This year, New York Fashion Week presented a new star to the audience - 9—year-old Daisy-Mae Dimetri. In the history of NYFW, this case is unprecedented, but not at all because a child participates in the shows together with adult models — this has already happened. The fact is that Daisy-Mae was walking down the catwalk on bionic prostheses, since the girl has no legs.

A young model with physical features was noticed at one of the London shows by Eni Hegedus-Buiron, the leading designer of the children's clothing brand Lulu et Gigi. The woman immediately realized that the girl was perfect for the New York show scheduled for September 8.

The baby's fashion show at one of the most important fashion events on the planet was watched by her father. He was proud of his daughter and noted that she looked amazing and at the same time she really liked everything that was happening.

Daisy-Mae Dimetri's exit has already been appreciated by the organizers of the event and invited her to take part in Paris Fashion Week. The show in the French capital, which will take place at the Eiffel Tower, will be even more pretentious and spectacular than the September one.

Daisy-Mae Dimetri, who became a star in New York, was born with fibular hemimelia. This is a congenital disease in which a person lacks the fibula or part of it. At 18 months old, the girl's legs were amputated to give her the opportunity to use prostheses in the future. Despite her illness, Dimetri dreamed of becoming a model from an early age.
