There are words and phrases that we often hear and even use in our vocabulary, but we have no idea how to visualize these words. Or rather, our understanding of these subjects is extremely vague.

We decided to give some clarity to these mysterious things.

1. Black box.

Sounds weird, but the black box is currently usually an orange sphere. There are a number of hypotheses as to why it got its name:

The first flight recorders were indeed a black box.
Because of the secrecy of their contents.

2. Mastodon.

Mastodons were huge woolly animals with large tusks like those of mammoths. But they lived before mammoths.

In fact, they closely resembled mammoths, and one can easily confuse these beautiful animals.

3. Gibraltar.

Gibraltar is a British territory located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, sharing a border with Spain.

To be more precise, bitcoins are like nothing else: they are a digital currency with no physical equivalent. It rotates on different cryptocurrency exchanges.

The world's largest experimental facility is located near Geneva, on the border of Switzerland and France. It cannot be seen from above, as it is underground.

Roughly speaking, the collider is a 27-kilometer closed tube where elementary particles are accelerated and collided to show how they break up into even smaller fragments.
