The result was a ranking of the 100 most impressive cities.
When compiling the rating, Emporis experts took into account the number of completed skyscrapers (40 floors and more) and high-rise buildings (12-39 floors) and awarded each building a certain number of points depending on the number of floors. The higher the building, the higher the score it received. Thus, for the number of floors from 12 to 19, one point was awarded, from 20 to 29 - 5 points, and so on. The highest score was earned by buildings with a height of 100 floors - 600 points. Television towers, masts, bridges and other structures were not taken into account in the calculation.
25. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2,567 high-rise buildings covering 1,182 square kilometers.
24. Osaka, Japan, 1,485 buildings in an area of 220 square kilometers.
23. Jakarta, Indonesia, 419 skyscrapers in an area of 661 square kilometers.
22. Istanbul, Türkiye - 2,302 buildings in an area of 1,991 square kilometers.

20. Mumbai, India, 1,328 skyscrapers in 621 square kilometers.
19. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 607 structures spread over 244 square kilometers.

16. This place in the ranking also belongs to one of the Chinese cities, Shenzhen, with 373 buildings on 2,020 km2.

13. Busan, South Korea, has 347 skyscrapers in 528 square kilometers.
12. Guangzhou, China, with 521 buildings covering an area of 7,434 square kilometers.
11. There are 4,391 high-rise buildings in Moscow, Russia.
10. Tokyo, Japan, with 2,765 skyscrapers.
9. Bangkok, Thailand: 913 structures.
8. Shanghai, China, has 1,010 high-rise buildings in 6,639 square kilometers.
7. Sao Paulo, Brazil, with 5,706 buildings in an area of 1,523 km2.
6. Chicago, USA: 1,153 skyscrapers in 589 km2.
5. Dubai, UAE: 650 high-rises on 3,885 square kilometers.
4. Seoul, South Korea, with 3,001 buildings and 616 square kilometers.
