She survived a difficult childhood and became one of the most famous and memorable sex symbols in the world.
Marilyn never knew my father, and once thought that her father was Clark gable. This story is often repeated for the sake of attracting attention and money. However, there is no evidence that gable ever met in my life her mother Gladys, which further developed a mental disorder because of what it had to be placed in a psychiatric hospital. Even as an adult, Marilyn recalled how in early childhood the mother once tried to smother her with a pillow.

Norma Jean was a half-sister, which they dated not more than six times in my life and never closely did not communicate. The aspiring actress childhood spent a lot of time in foster care and in an orphanage. In 1937, the family friend grace and her husband Doc Goddard took the girl in custody for several years.

Mother Norma Jean Goddard was paying 25 dollars a week because they raised her daughter. The family was very religious and followed fundamentalist doctrines. Marilyn was not much. In particular, she was not allowed to go to the movies. But then the Doc at work had to move to the East coast of the United States, and the family was unable to take the girl with him.

In seven years, Norma Jeane came back to life in a foster homes where she was subjected to sexual harassment. Later she told me that she was raped at the age of 11.

The girl had only one option — to find a husband. She married friend Jimmy Dougherty on 19 June 1942 when she was only 16 years old. The year before she left school.

Daugherty served under contract in the Marines, and he was sent to the South Pacific. The war went on, and Norma Jean went to work at the factory of military equipment in van NUYS, California. There it was met by a magazine photographer. In 1946, when Dougherty returned home, his wife already had a successful modeling career and she changed her name to Marilyn Monroe, preparing to become an actress. She wanted to be a star like Jean Harlow and Lana Turner.
