By Pictolic https://mail.pictolic.com/article/10-most-honest-cities-in-the-world.htmlOne of the magazines conducted an interesting experiment in order to determine in which large cities of our planet the most honest people live. The method for determining was chosen simple and logical: in the cities participating in the experiment, the researchers, as it were, lost their wallet in crowded places with a contact phone number, photographs, bank cards and a small amount of money equivalent to 50 dollars. The more wallets are returned to their owners, the more honest the city is considered.
Let's see in which cities it will be easy to return the lost money, and in which it is almost impossible, and whether Moscow got into the honesty rating.
(Total 10 photos)

1. The leader in the honesty hit parade is Helsinki, where out of 12 wallets left in a crowded place, as many as 11 were returned to their owners, which indicates the great decency of the inhabitants of the Finnish capital! They also report about themselves not without some pride: “We never even pass through a red light! And honesty is in our blood!”

2. Contrary to the negative stereotypes that have developed about the inhabitants of India, the Indian metropolis Mumbai received an honorable second place, in which 9 out of 12 wallets were given to the owners.
Rahul Rai, 27, from Mumbai, says: “My conscience won't let me do anything bad. After all, many people keep not only money, but also important documents in their wallets.”

3. The third place was taken by the most beautiful Eastern European capital - Budapest. 8 purses were returned here, but the organizers of the experiment noticed a 60-year-old woman who, having discovered the purse, looked into it and quickly disappeared from view, hiding the find.

4. Obviously, America is also present in our ranking - with New York in the same third place as Budapest. According to 36-year-old New Yorker Richard Hamilton, despite accusations of unfriendlyness, New Yorkers are very good people. Found and returned 8 wallets.

5. Moscow occupies an honorable fourth place: our compatriots returned only 1 purse less - 7 out of 12 “lost”. Emergency Ministry officer Eduard Antipin, having found someone else's wallet near the Moscow zoo, handed it over to the guard, saying: "As an officer, I follow the code of honor." A good reason to feel proud of our citizens!

6. Next comes the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, with the same figures - 7 out of 12. A completely predictable result for respectable residents of northern Europe.

7. But the Berliners turned out to be not so principled, only half of the abandoned wallets were returned here - 6 pieces. However, 46-year-old Abel Ben Salem hurried to find the owner of the found wallet, seeing a childhood photograph in it.

8. A similar situation with honesty and in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. Returned 6 wallets.

9. London-based Polish woman Ursula Smyst, after handing over someone else's wallet, said: "It is not known who owns the money found - perhaps they are intended to buy food for hungry children." London - 5 out of 12.

10. As a result of the experiment, Warsaw got the same place in the ranking of honest cities as London. 7 out of 12 wallets were taken by women without reporting the find. Accordingly, as in London, 5 out of 12 "evidence" were returned.
Well, let's take this information into account when traveling through the cities of the most "honest" dozen!
