10 amazing underwater images from the finalists of the Ocean Photography Awards 2021

The Ocean Photography Awards photo contest is designed to show all the beauty of the underwater world. Thousands of photographers from all over the world participate in it every year, and recently the jury selected the finalists of 2021 in six categories. In the pictures you can see amazing deep-sea creatures and other marine inhabitants.

The main award of the contest - "Photographer of the Year" – will be awarded on Thursday, September 16, and while we are waiting for a new winner, we offer to look at the amazing works of the finalists-they are presented on the award website.

Both amateurs and professionals can take part in the Ocean Photography Awards competition. The main task is to convey the diversity and richness of underwater life. Thus, the founders of the award are trying to draw the attention of the world community to the problems of oceanic and marine inhabitants.

In the pictures, you can see colorful squids, translucent deep-sea creatures, and very curious sea lions, as well as other marine life. 

The organizers of the contest remind that, thanks to not always positive human actions, the health of the ocean and its inhabitants are constantly under threat.
