Photographer Gary Kruger is a virtuoso of moments, enchanted by the street
Street photos are always the most interesting. People who are caught unexpectedly always look natural and often comical. And if the photo was taken by such a master as Gary Krueger, it will certainly be a masterpiece. The American photographer is considered one of the best masters of street photography. His photos are the history of Los Angeles, which Krueger recorded for more than 50 years.
According to Gary Kruger, the 1970s and 80s were the “golden age” of Los Angeles. At that time, art was not yet firmly connected with commerce, and people on the streets looked happy. And the photographer is glad that he was lucky enough to witness this interesting time and document it.
Work left Kruger with very little time for his passion - street photography. But he still managed to take pictures.
Now the photographer is well over 70, but he continues to shoot and personally holds exhibitions of his works. When asked by journalists about the secret of the success of his simple photographs, Gary Kruger answers simply:
