Hardships of life" />4. “At the beginning, I wanted to do my own project about living under constant pressure. I wanted to show the hardships of our life, but for a long time I could not imagine it visually,” says the photographer about the idea of creating the Totem de Vie photo project.

Hardships of life" />6. “In the end, I came up with the idea to make a portrait of a man, presented in the form of a sculpture, surrounded by objects with which he identifies himself. These are objects that should represent the work and hobby of this person, the environment in which he lives, his past, his memories, his family.

I think that each of us has our own set of objects, our own burdens of life that we carry on ourselves, and sometimes we feel exactly like the models hung with different objects in the photographs of Kate Fichard.
