A game with a sad ending: a woman fell ill with sepsis and underwent three amputations after being bitten by her beloved dog
Pets are best friends, but you should never forget that they have an animal instinct that can manifest itself at any moment. Christine Caron, unfortunately, overlooked this. Beloved dog Buster bit a woman during a game. Six days later, the mother of four children went to the hospital with flu-like symptoms. After that, the unfortunate woman fell into a coma and woke up a month later. It turned out that the pet's bite caused sepsis in the woman, because of which three limbs were subsequently amputated.

Kristin Caron from Ottawa, Canada, was playing with her four dogs on May 16, 2013, when a three-year-old Shih Tzu dog Buster accidentally bit her hand. The woman went to the hospital six days after the incident. She had flu-like symptoms and was vomiting all night. Arriving at the clinic, Mrs. Caron lost consciousness and fell into a coma.
The 55-year-old woman was told that she would have to amputate her right arm and two legs, and if this was not done, the infection could lead to death. Since then, Kristin has learned to live with prosthetics and is now doing everything to draw public attention to the problem of sepsis.
The disease can lurk at every step. Fun games with the dog turned into a real nightmare for Kristin and a daily struggle for survival. Caution and vigilance should always be present, and you need to go to the hospital even with the most seemingly insignificant symptoms. Your life may depend on it.
