A 1,400-year-old ginkgo tree grows near the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple in the Zhongnan Mountains in China. Yellow-yellow leaves began to fall from it in mid-November and by now have drowned the temple in the yellow ocean.
The ginkgo tree is sometimes called a "living fossil" because it hasn't changed a bit in many, many years despite all the climate changes.
