We declare a genocide of flies: how to make a simple but effective insect trap
Categories: Life hacks
PictolicAll year we live in anticipation of summer: sun, warmth, greenery. The only thing that upsets is annoying insects in huge quantities. We have already told you how to get rid of mosquitoes and horseflies easily and naturally. Now it's the turn of the flies. We are sure that you do not like hordes of insects flying around your house. An Imgur user under the nickname Donkey1521 told how to get rid of flying guests without any Velcro constantly tangling in their hair.

So, let's start creating a trap. To do this, you will need: an empty plastic bottle, scissors, a knife, sugar, water and a banana.

First you need to cut the bottle so that two thirds remain from the bottom.

In the lower most part, you need to pour sugar so that it covers the bottom.

The next step is to finely chop the banana.

Now you need to add the banana to the sugar, pour this mash with water and stir. It's a fly bait. Insects feed on decomposing organic substances, so the sweet mass will attract them.

Then unscrew the lid and insert the top of the bottle into the bottom with the neck down so that the hole is directly above the sugar and banana mixture.

That's all. At first glance, a simple device will save you from annoying flies. The smell of the sweet mixture will attract insects, they will go down the neck of the bottle, they will not be able to fly back and will die a terrible death in a banana mess.
